Pump speed Settings for suction cleaner?

Hey MD and Welcome !!!

Start at low rpms and add 100 at a time until it's cleaning well. Once you're happy with what it's picking up, add another 100 RPMs and thats your cleaning speed. Repeat the process for any other functions you have such as skimming / heating / turning on the SWG / etc

*providing it has a dedicated suction port. If not you may need to bypass other features when cleaning. You were very light on details.

Well, hi NEW dude and thank you for the welcome. I was light on details because I’m light on knowledge lol the pool does have a dedicated cleaning port with a vacuum head on the end that looks like a man of war. It bobs along the bottom. The pump speed was 3650 and I changed it to 2500. It moves much slower. I reduced the pump speed because it was too loud to enjoy a conversation.

Ok GREAT. Have you adjusted the suction legs at the equipment pad to only suck from the vac leg ? If its split among the skimmers / spa / etc, the cleaner will have less suction.

IMO people clean their pools waaaaay too often. I manually vac mine once a week, sometimes every other week, yet folks with cleaners lose sleep if they miss 15 mins of the 24 hour day. Lol.

Debris fluctuates with the seasons. At the very least, I'd adjust my runtimes with it and you probably don't have much blowing in right now. Certainly not enough that you need to run it when guests are over or you are out there enjoying it.

What pump do you have and how did the cleaner work at 2500? I have a VS pump coming and I am wondering if I can ramp up the speed a few hours a day to run my suction cleaner.
