pump shaft seal on a sta rite - is this user replaceable or does it need to be pressed on ?

I'm advising a neighbor so this is not a question related to the equipment in my sig.

Pump is a sta rite P4E6E 1.5 and Looks like the one here:

Pump is leaking on the pressure side of the impeller so my guess is the seal.

Is the seal replaceable without a press? Or does it need to go into a shop to be pressed on ?

Dan,

The shaft seal just slips on and off, no press is required..

There should be plenty of U-Tube videos showing how to do it..

use a good seal listed as "Ozone/Salt" and use seal installation lube.
