My neighbor and his family will be out of the country for 2 months and I offered to keep an eye on his pool while he's gone. He has a 20x40 IG pool with a vinyl liner, single speed pump , sand filter, and a SWG for chlorination. He will be putting his winter cover back on during this time. The cover is solid, thus limiting any light entering the pool. His water is nicely balanced at this time and we have been running his FC on the high end of the range leading to his departure. I'm assuming without swimmers and sunlight the FC usage will be drastically curtailed during his time away. My plan is to check the FC level while he is gone, run the pump and SWG as needed, and open the cover a bit now and then to let the pool breathe. Anything I'm missing here? Any concerns anyone would have? Any advice on how often the pump needs to run in this situation?
