Pump problems

Came home for lunch today and the pool was not running!! Plumbing all looks clear, went in the pump house to discover the pump was just humming! Turned it off and back on, same thing. Where is a good place to start with this? Oh, its a Pentair single speed pump.

Kill power and make sure the impeller is spinning freely. Then replace the capacitor.

Ok, pump spins freely, got the capacitor out and now I'm going to see if I can find one local so I can get this guy running, thanks Guys!! I'll let you know.

Pool store, Grainger or Johnstone Supply, if you have one though they are wholesale only. Get one with the exact same parameters.

I had a heckuva time finding one for my irrigation pump. At both the electric supply and the plumbing supply, they saw me walking in with it and said it was the others device with me still in the doorway.

I ended up getting one at the HVAC supply because they had them for central ACs and didn't care if it was technically plumbing or electric.

So I searched all around reasonably close by to no avail! Amazon had the exact same one it will be here Friday, 12 bucks delivered!
I did talk to my local HVAC guy, he had one that would work but it would not fit in the cover though.

UPDATE: My capacitor arrived yesterday, and all is well, which is a good thing the pool was a disaster with everything blowing into it with this hurricane going through! So I gave it a 24 hour chlorine blast for good measure!
