Why would a pump be pulsating instead of a steady flow? Just started last night. Please and as always thanks.

That's not very much information to go on but, whenever the word"pulsating" or "rhythmic" is posted, it frequently points to not enough water in the pool or a stuck weir door. Because of the low water level, the pump sucks air at the skimmer.
Are you getting air bubbles sloshing around inside the pump strainer basket? (pump running)
Yes. I search this site and found out it could be I am getting air from some where.
Yeah, if you have enough water in the pool, it sounds like you have a suction side air leak. Please read the article on them in pool school. It may help you locate it.
