Pump pressure up, water flow down, Recirculation is perfect

Dear pool professionals,

In the positions of Multi-Valve, Recirculation, Waste, Rinse, Backwash, water flow (in and out ) is great. No leaking in any valves, pipes, and so on.
However, in the position of Filter, water flow looks OK for 5-10 minutes and then the pump pressure goes up around 25 psi (normally below 20 psi), water flow of returns becomes very weak as well as water sucking is very weak in a skimmer. After a few times of Backwash, cleaning filter elements, relief of air by air valve and change in DE powder brand, water flow is still weak or almost no flow but Recirculation still works great.

Please help me....

Thank you

Welcome o TFP! Sounds like your filter is doing what it's supposed to do, but struggling with material - perhaps algae. Can you post a full set of water test results? How does the water look? 100% crystal to the deep end, dull, hazy, etc?

Hello! Welcome to TFP :handwave:
How's your water look? Sparkling gin-clear? If not what sounds like is happening is your filter is getting clogged with algae. Even clear-ish pools can have algae, and DE filters will *trap all*. They work soooo well. But of course they're also the most difficult to clean out.
Can you bump yours?

Give us a full set of test results and tell us more-
FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA
Salt if applicable

Lets play detective ;)

Hello,

Thank you for warm welcome!

Yes, you are right. It is ALGAE….

I opened the pool, cleaned, brushed, vacuumed, shocked at pH (7.8), recirculated for a few days.

The pool is still brownish and cloudy.
