Pump Not Working Green Algae

My pump stopped working and obviously the pool is turning greener by the day. It would not have been a problem except they shipped me the wrong pump and now I must wait till next Wednesday 4/29/20 before the replacement pump arrives. This is killing me watching my pool turn green as it has always been crystal clear. It's a pebble tech and I fear it will stain the pool? Is there anything I should be doing while I wait besides panic? I bought a bunch of chlorine and was thinking maybe I could turn the waterfall on or is that a bad idea. I don't know that much about equipment and how they work in unison, so just looking for help while I wait. I am scrubbing it now and I understand turning the waterfall on will not filter the water, any help would be appreciated.

Add 5 ppm FC worth of liquid chlorine each day. Brush, use the waterfall pump, etc to mix it in. It will not cure the algal bloom, but will slow it down.

Can you post test results?

Thanks guys, I'll get on it. If I can't get the waterfall to turn on, yes, I may have that problem, I'm still troubleshooting, should I still just add chlorine and just brush? I would think yes, cant hurt. I'll post my numbers prior to adding chlorine. Thanks again, much appreciated!

Odd, time to call an electrician. I went to check on the waterfall and tried the pump for the heck of it, it struggled, but turned on??? I've tried it multiple times over the past week and would get a humming, then at times it wouldn't do anything. I tried to clean it out and check inside, nothing, so a head scratcher. I have been having odd electrical issues near the pump, this after having an electrician look at it. Regardless, new electrician and moving forward, I threw a quick gallon of chlorine in while it's running, and I'm updating here, ill go back, scrub, clean the filters, add chlorine, and repeat. My numbers..... FC 0.0, PH, I'll guess 8.5 as it was slightly off the chart, TA 70, CH 325, CYA 35, CSI 0.67, temp is 66.

I've reached the twilight zone. I'm updating my numbers in the TFP App and when I go to change the size of the chlorine jugs it shuts down, every time, so it's stuck at 30 oz. App expires on the 28th, any ideas or should I check on this someplace else?

You may need a capacitor on your motor. Symptoms are humming.

If you do not want to tackle it DIY -- get a pool repair or electrician to check it out.

I already have a new pump/kit coming, wont be here till next Wednesday. I had one sent a few days ago from another outfit and it was the wrong one, so this is why i'm scrambling around now. I thank God for whatever reason that the pump started today, ill let it run and and work on it till it gets on target. I'm making a call to an electrician regardless, better safe than sorry. Thanks for your help and input!
