So my filter pump has a large leak. The water feature pump didn’t. I had them swap out the pump and housing so I could run the filter to get the water ready and then figure out the water feature in the next few days. After investigating the pump I saw what looks like a imperfection. I’ve attached a picture. Is this repairable?

Does that go to the drain plug?

Probably just a bad seal.
Ok. I tried a new gasket to no avail. Any other suggestions? The pump is fairly new, but I guess I could use this opportunity to switch to a variable speed. If I did get a new pump, are the inlet and outlet locations to most pumps universal or would I have to redo the PVC?

If you wanted to go to a variable speed pump, this is the same pump in a variable speed version.
