Pump issues Pentair intelliflo

Hi all,

First summer as a pool owner has gone pretty smoothly and this board has been a huge help. Finally have my first issue.

I cleaned the filter yesterday and put everything back together. Now starting up my pump (Pentair Intelliflo) and it fills up the basket, looks like it is primed and water shoots out the vaccuum release. Then suddenly, I get a big air bubble and not enough water is pulled in to maintain the water flow. It keeps pulling but it's just a trickle and the basket is mostly empty no matter how high I run the pump (and then I open the vaccuum release and just air comes out). Sorry if any of this is unclear -- I'm a newbie -- but any idea what might be causing this? I am putting more water in the pool but the water level doesn't seem to be an issue.

Any chance you left a valve partially closed before the pump on the suction side? Anything left in the poolside skimmer perhaps blocking flow? Weir door/flap moving okay?

If not, maybe post a pic of your equipment pad.

Ha, maybe it was the water level after all. Went outside to take a picture and the hose has been filling the pool. When I fired it back up, now it's running properly. I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks for the quick response.

Do you have a standard IntelliFlo or do you have one with the +SVRS option??? If SVRS it will say so on the label..
