Pump, filter and SWG fresh start.

I have a 27ft round above ground pool (17,000gal). I'd like a fresh start for filter, pump and SWG. My current Intex SWG is dead. My pump is single speed, old and loud. My sand filter is OKish but the 7 was valve feels like it's about done and the previous owner stripped the threads on the drain cap and filled the hole with plumbers putty. So I'd basically like to start over equipment wise.

I definitely want to incorporate a quality SWG, I understand it should probably be sized for a pool twice our size.

I'm open to all options for pump and filter but definitely leaving toward a VSP.

Any tips on brand, sizing, quality, longevity and anything else would be much appreciated.

Thanks

What type of plumbing, skimmer, and returns do you have on your pool?

Will you plumb everything with 1.5" solid Schedule 40 PVC?

It matters how much flow your pool's plumbing can take.

I plan to hard plumb everything with PVC.
I found this pump:
And filter(photo attached)
That I can get on marketplace for about $700
I believe it's more than I need but still suitable and a great price.

Are they oversized? The pump can run as low as 600rpm, but I haven't found what the gpm is at that speed yet.
