The larger filter will give you slightly better flow. However, as long as the flow is going to be kept below 50 gpm, I don't think that it's worthwhile to go to a bigger filter.
If it was a new install, I would choose the 100, but I wouldn't pay to replace a working filter.
Thanks again. I’ll talk w/ the PB tomorrow. When we spoke earlier in the week he said he would swap the valve for another. I’m thinking about seeing if he will just change the valve to a 3-way and if he would allow me to swap the DE 60 for a DE 100 and just pay the difference (I’m anticipating approx $300). He has been extremely intrigued with the flow rate/head loss as well. I’m the first heat pump customer he has ever had and if I hadn’t done the heat pump it looks like I may have never gone down this rabbit hole.
One last question, to what degree does an in-line chlorinator restrict flow and raise head?
