Pump basket O-ring sizes

My wife and I bought a house with an inground pool. I finally have it filled, but the O-ring on the pump basket needs to be replaced. I know the pump motor (AO Smith USQ1152) but I do not know the brand or model of the pump. It is a centrifugal, self-priming pump. The one label on the pump is unreadable. Are all pump basket O-rings the same size? Thanks...

Hi Choven,

There should be a a part # embossed into the lid of your pump or into the basket. The location of the part # on the basket would be the lip of the basket, inside bottom or outside bottom of basket. If you could supply any of these part #'s then we could give you the part # for the o-ring you require. Also if you could post some photos of your complete pump that would be helpful.

Here's a picture of the pump. Upon closer inspection, the lid is part #C3-139P. The pump has an embossed sticker with # A5F-125l. I guess that means I have a Sta-Rite pump. It looks like the motor has been replaced, or at least serviced, by a local electric shop.

I found an O-ring at Leslie Pools in town. All I could do was size them up with the eyeball approach because I didn't have a chance to search for the part numbers. I'll replace the o-ring when I get off of work and see if it works.
