I've read that you're supposed to drain the pool, but how far? I have 1 skimmer and 2 returns, one low one high. I know not to do anything other than raise FC. Thanks guys!
Proper procedure for closing above ground

We lower the water to ~6" below the skimmer. We get a solid freeze up here in MI and the ice does lift up a bit.
