Problems with Intex SWCG

I run my Intex SWG on boost to raise the FC until it reaches 8 or so then I run it for 12 hours a day until it drops into the mid 4's and turn boost on again. That way I'm not buying or playing with chemicals if I don't have to.
Ours has never even been able to hit 8. the most it ever hit was 2.5ppm. Our generator they supplied just isnt enough to keep up. I also got told today that because i bought a spare part the window for warranty goes from 1 year down to 90 days. I just dont understand how you can not stand by your product like that ugh... during the day though we lose all that chlorine.

We bought our pool for $1800 new! It came with pool, pump, sand filter, SWG, ladder, and some cleaning tools. At that price compared to other manufactures Intex seems like a throw away pool when it breaks down.

This is the third season with our pool and we have been lucky with ours, we had to replace the liner my fault for not adding a 1.5" pad under it right away, and a SWG cell, because it cracked and started leaking.

I can and do see why they don't offer longer warranties or stand behind their product if they did they would go out of business.

I’ve used an Intex SWCG for years. I can’t imagine why your cells would die after 30 days. Dying as in no chlorine production at all?

Did some testing last night and found that our chlorine generator on boost and while only running at night provided only an additional 1.5ppm of chlorine. Its safe to say that it just cant keep up.
I believe it will generate 5.3ppm in 24 hours. How long are you running your pump?
