Problem with robot

Or more accurately a problem with the drain cover installed when we put in a new liner last year. The Dolphin Premier cleaner I bought a year and a half ago gets stuck when trying to traverse the drain. Solution anyone?

Thanks. Not a lot of real solutions though. That’s why I reposted to wake this up. I wonder if I could replace the drain cover with something lower profile without causing a lot of other issues?
