These skimmer problems both occurred at the same time. Not sure if related or a coincidence.

The first skimmer, located in the shallow end of the pool, the weir will not stay up. It just lies flat
However, it does pull in debris. I tried to get it to stay up but no luck.

The second skimmer, located in the deep end of the pool, looks fine but has no suction. It just keeps spitting out debris that was already collected. This seems to happen only when I am in the pool.

Water levels are fairly high since it is the rainy season in Florida. However, this is my fourth season here and high water levels never were a problem.

I am going to try and upload some photos to hopefully lessen your time figuring out the problem.

Thanks What are your time!

Kinda hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like the valve position on the far left has the first 2 inputs turned off. If those go to your skimmers, neither will have suction. The weirs should each have a piece of Styrofoam-like material on the back side that makes them float. I'm guessing that your shallow-end weir may have lost its foam piece. Try turning that valve 90 degrees left to open the lines, then check for suction in the bottom of both skimmers.

Toot,

When I look at the input to your pump, I can only find one open pipe.. The one with the blue ball valve... Does that one pipe go to both of your skimmers???

I agree with Steve, that it sounds like the foam in the non-floating skimmer is water logged or not there at all.

Thanks,

Jim R.

The pool company finally came and took a look at everything. One skimmer needs to be replaced. They said nothing was wrong with the other one. It miraculously started working again! Where I rent my house, all yards are open so anyone can get to the pool equipment. I know the kids next door have screwed around with my spa timer a couple of times. So, either they were at it again or my pool person changed something. In any event, thank you for your help. I appreciated it.
