My System is kinda old, it's a Goldmine Controls Pro Logic. I have a physical hand held wireless control that is constantly needing to be charged. They don't even make that hand held controller anymore, but you can find them on eBay.

I was looking around and came across the Hayword Aqua Connect system....from what I'm seeing, this is a way for me to connect my system to my phone. I already have that white, wireless system connected to the side of my panel.

So....will that work with my system....it seems like it would...but I would love to know from you experts.

LET ME KNOW your thoughts and questions.

Kirk, you really should have upgraded your ProLogic system to the OmniPL rather then throwing all these parts at it piecemeal.

People have been unhappy at the performance and reliability of the Aquaconnect.

AJ.....well???? I actually have not been throwing parts at it. From what I can see, the OmniPL uses the same logic board. Am I seeing that wrong? IF SO....I stand corrected. Everything else, I already had....I had to get another Salt Cell....so, that was the same......and other than that.....I replaced the logic board. In my reading I came across an article that said the Aqua Connect could be used on my system....they said I would need to buy a wireless transmitter....but I already have one on my system that talks to an OLD remote.....that remote is what has led me to this discussion.........it will not be long before I'm looking to get one....usually I can find stuff like that on eBay.......but instead of throwing money at a dead system.....I wondered about that Aqua Connect......seems more logical to have my phone as my remote.

That is what got me to this post.

I'm just wondering????

The OmniPL system has integrated networking and a color display touch screen. It can take OTA updates. It is a different board then your Prologic.

I would not be putting the time and money into a 20 year old system that you are. You need to cut your losses at some point.

I hear you buddy....but my situation is this:

The Logic Board I have in there now is brand new. I was able to fix the OLD board that was burnt by the salt cell connection. I found a new connector and I put it in.

The Touch Pad is brand new.

The only thing that is now 16 years old is the metal box, wires, and electrical line breakers. So....while it is OLD technology.....it's currently working......and when this logic board dies, I have the other one that is less than 2 years old ready to replace it. So......based upon what I'm reading....I'm good for at least the next 6-10 years. By then, I'm probably not gonna even be interested in this pool any more.

So....if I could fix the remote by having all the info on my phone....WELL....for me, that would be an upgrade.

So, back to my original question.... Will the Goldmine Controls Pro Logic work with the Hayword Aqua Connect system allowing me to use the app on my phone to control my pool.

LET ME KNOW????

The Aquaconnect and its app has always been flaky. You can dive it a try and see if it works for you. It has never been a very popular product.
