Pro Logic Board Updated Firmware Needed

I am still waiting on a pickit 3 I ordered cheap on ebay and is being shipped from China. Don’t mean to sound rude but why would I want /need ver 4.20 from you if I already have a later version board? Do you have pickit 3 chip programmer yourself so if I sent the updated software dump you could program yourself? I purchased a new board that i’m returning for a refund as soon as I read the updated firmware off of it using the pickit 3 (when the pickit 3 reader / programmer arrives next week) Then I’m reprogramming / updating firmware on the chip of my existing board.
Thanks, i didn’t read your post properly so offered something you obviously don’t need :)

Once your get the programmer and able to read the firmware, hoping you can share with us.

Here it is

header to plug into on the board is J10. 5 pin, black in color, vertically oriented, and is located on upper left side. To plug in to board, remove male adapter end on the 6 pin connector included with your pickit3. (you will not use pin 6) Lowest pin on that connector (on5 pin of board) is the #1 pin. So if you were to plug the 6 pin connector into your pickit3 with white wire where the arrow is (that's pin 1on the pickit3) then you'd plug the other end of the cable into yourboard with white wire on lowest pin. (black wire will not plug into anything) Oh, and use 4.75V setting on MPLAB X IPE program under power option to power board with tool. 5V setting would not work for me.

did you ever get the board or firmware? I am looking for v4.4x if you got your hands on it? I have 4.20 if that can work for you, let me know how to do the dump and I can send to you
Here is 4.47 hex firmware
Family: Advanced 8 – Bit (pic18)
Device: PIC18F4685
Power option: Power from PicKit 3. Make sure voltage is set to 4.75V (5V didn’t work for me when I tried)

Otherwise follow instructions from eepool (device is a different chip than in his instructions, see above)

Import / hex / navigate to file location / program

can anybody share the update file

I currently have an AquaPlus PL-PLUS, which I believe is the ProLogic PL-PS-4 kit that came with the salt cell.. The sticker in the upper left of my board is G1-011049D-1T, and it is currently running main software 4.10. I have it connected to an EcoStar VSP SP3400VSP.. I do have it wired for control from the AquaPlus, and on Version 4.10, I have the ability to set pump speed in 5% increments, and I can onlty choose Filter-Low and Filter-High. We currently have Filter-High at 80%, and would like to have a lower speed time period where it is around 60-70%, but with Version 4.10 of the software, the maximum you can set the low speed setting to is 50%. From what I can tell, full features for VSP pumps were not introduced until at least 4.20

I did order a PICKit-3 knock-off that is coming tomorrow.. I'm hoping that I can try and update the software from 4.10 to 4.47, and in the process open up additional options for the VSP.. Were there variations in the board design/cpu type that could give me an issue doing this (My board is G1-011049D-1T as mentioned previously). Also, can this firmware upgrade be performed with the board in place but with the breakers for the board off -- or do I have to disassemble everything and get the board isolated?
Thanks

Find the prologic troubleshooting PDF from
Hayward. It shows with versions ads which features and asked for specific board version needed for upgrading firmware. Make sure to check that.

Board doesn’t need to be taken out just turn everything off (breakers) and use laptop to connect and supply power for firmware upgrade process, I have done it without removing the board and had no issues my board was GLX-PCB PRO

Thanks.. I finished this earlier this morning without a problem.. I left the board in, but had the breakers turned off.. I followed sph01443's instructions and it worked fine.. I now have the extra VSP functions from my EcoStar pump and can set 4 individual timers instead of just hi and low. One thing I will add -- I did have to download an older version of MPLAB-X (I ended up using 5.50) because the current 6.10 version was not seeing the tool. Anyway, thanks for everyone that provided assistance in this thread.

Hi everyone,
Just came across this post! I have a G1-066008J-1 board which I assume is a GLX-PCB-MAIN. I was wondering if any one knows what's the latest available software version for these ones? Would love to try to update mine!
Thanks
