Pressure gauge for sand filter

Just got a question we just got a sand filter we hooked up and everything we turn on and the pressure gauge only reads in the White how do we get it to go into the green or are we doing something wrong?

Welcome to TFP! Are you sure the in & out water lines to the filter multiport valve are not backwards? Maybe post a pic of your set-up.

Splash is right there is not enough info to go on here.
open your air relief valve on the filter turn the pump on and feel with your hand one of the pool jets. Start there with that.
