Same as the gaskets/o rings! They went a bit wild with the silicone![]()
Maybe- stains can be weird & random.I’m wondering if this “reaction with the coating “ on the screws is causing the stains mentioned earlier in this thread ?
The silicone really shouldn’t be on top of the screws- if silicone is used it should be between the faceplate/gasket/pool wall to assist in waterproofing the gasket where it meets the shell. Maybe some might get in the screwholes in this application. It looks like they just went crazy & made a terrible mess.Should these be re siliconed?
Filter media/sand is my number 1 suspect. My question now is , since I have indeed found wwm and nearly two slams hasn’t cleared it …. Now what ?
I would keep with slam- there’s funky stuff happening.Ok, in the meantime keep chlorine where ? Cya 40
Still continue slam ? Or is it worth it?
Not with the CYA. They don't care to understand science. You could hold SLAM FC for a month or more without issue.Pb expressed concern keeping fc high because hard on gel coat and cover etc.
Are you referring to glb algaecide? Don’t waste your money.Am I going off the rails to consider picking up some of the vanquish?
It doesn’t specifically say algacideAre you referring to glb algaecide? Don’t waste your money.
White water mold is a bacteria type thing. Chlorine is the answer.
Hold tight - lets ask @JoyfulNoise about its ingredients and their potential effectsIt doesn’t specifically say algacide
The old ways are long gone and will be forgotten once we clear this battle. If you keep getting it, then something is wrong with what you’re doing because most chlorinated pools never get WWM
