Powering an AG pool 25' from a GFCI

Hi, I have a 12' Intex pool which is set up 25-26 ft from an exterior covered GFCI. I'd like to power a 2 HP pump safely, but can't figure this out. Would it be better to run a 10 or 12 AWG exterior-rated extension cord temporarily to the pump at poolside.....or could I situate the pump next to the GFCI, and then run 25' of hose to the intake and outlet holes on the pool? Hoses are 1.5". Or is there another option?

Am I reading this correctly that it only draws 3 amps on the 'Low ' setting? Here's the pump specs:
SwimPro Dual Speed Power-Saver
Model S48M2A3A9
HP 2 - 1/6 SPL
Amps: pump load 15.0/3.5
RPM 3450/1725
Volts 115
3 ft power cord

The pump has a 4 pin locking connector, such as a dryer has. From the previous owner, this was attached to a small heavy duty three prong adapter.

The pump was given to us and is probably overkill for the 3700 gal pool, but it works quite well on the Low setting.

I am open to other suggestions! I know extension cords are generally not advised. It is in a temporary location where running conduit would be awkward... but perhaps possible. Thanks!

Welcome to TFP.

Running 25' hoses to the pump will be safer then running an extension cord to the pump.

If there is a problem with the hoses things will just get wet.
