Hi all—

I tried to do some reading up to prevent a redundant thread, but too many questions remain...

I have a Hayward Powerflo Matrix 1.5 that’s started to hum. It also pops my house breaker when I don’t catch it in time.

So obviously I’m thinking capacitor, but found some info that some Matrix pumps don’t have one?

I’ll attempt to attach a pic of my pump, but it says SP1515-Z-1-ESC.
I also understand that might be my pump model and not the motor model.

Thanks!!

Search Inyopools website. They show this motor does not have a capacitor.

Consider a two speed motor if you end up replacing it.
