While doing an internet search based on my user name I came across a few of my posts I made here. Is there an option somewhere I missed that keeps my posts here private from the internet and only available on this site?

Can’t really say it better. Even if I tell Google or other bots not to index something, they’re still able to.

Don't use the same user name for every website.

Change your user name to something just for this site.
