The light at night does make it stand out more, but the bottom of our newly installed above ground pool is lumpy. I don't have a lot of confidence in the company that installed it but they seem willing to come out to "fix" it. They are wanting to have me drain the pool and they are going to rework the floor and reset the existing liner and fill it back up. My question is the pool was installed on July 13th and has been full since the 15th. They are coming on September 29th to do the work. My question is will the current liner really be usable still or has it been too long and really needs a new liner? The company swears up and down that it will be ok, but again I don't have the most confidence in them. Almost thinking I should just live with the pool floor and fix it correctly when it is time to replace the liner down the road.

I would not look at how the floor looks but how it feels on your feet.

If you don’t have any problems standing on the floor I would leave it as is.

It is not that bad to walk on. I think I would feel much safer not tearing it all back down and have them mess something else up and just know that I will be fixing it right myself down the road.

My last pool had a bumpy floor, we didn't light it and you would notice it when debris would fall into it and we has pockets of debris. The pool cleaner would clean them up and you couldn't notice them again. It didn't affect us in any way.

We are getting another pool and I asked the dealer about that and he said the same thing that even though the pool compacts the sand, walking or jumping in the pool will cause divots on the bottom.

I agree with leaving it alone. Our last pool lasted 20 years including the liner.

I think you would be opening up a "can of worms" by draining the pool and removing the liner. If it was me, I would just leave it alone as long as it feels good on the feet and no rocks are felt.

You guys are reinforcing what my original thoughts were on this. I have called and cancelled, we will live with it as it is. Thanks everyone for the input!
