I also add swimtrine algaecide weekly just to make sure.

Algecide eats FC and vice versa leaving you with less of each. It's entirely counterproductive during the season and only for people up north who need to close early.

The irony is if it makes your FC drop enough, you'll need the algecide, which, you may or may not have if the FC got it first.
