I have new to inground pools. Bought a house last year with a 20x44 inground pool. Never really paid much attention to what i know now as the "sump pit" to control ground water around the pool. I remember looking in it a couple times and never seeing any water level. Recently it seems like our water level has dropped faster and faster over a week. We had one issue where a pipe blew off the filter and threw off my troubleshooting for a bit. But we have had a very very dry summer and last couple week here in Indiana. Looked at the well pit this evening and the water level is about 3 feet below pool level. Would you suspect a liner or plumbing leak? Losing roughly a 1000 gallons over about 5 days. I see no visible liner holes! Going to get a sump pump that will fit in the pit this week to pump the ground water down.
