Pool testing audit results - long trends

Can you fine, experienced folks on here, take a look at my pool math logs, to see if you can spot something in the data? Last few months trends.
I am continuing with the testing and cleaning, but wanted to get input in case I am not seeing something on the data. Swimming about to start.
My main reason for this is, pool consumes a lot of chlorine. I was using trichlor to raise over time. Just had it tested recently and my cya number shows at 53ppm.
Given that number, do logs show expected usage of the amount of chlorine? Or should it be less? If so, what am I doing wrong?

Next, I ve had few days where I saw CC at 0.5. It was really less than that (the amount of pink was almost imperceptible but I still noted as 0.5), I was just recording worst scenario. Anything to worry about there? It was a time when dead leafs from trees after Texas freeze, started falling off and pool got lots of that. I did keep taking them out multiple times per day.
Recently, these stringy (not leafs, almost like moss looking) things were falling into the pool. I assume they have pollen (when sprayed with garden hose on deck, water would be yellowish).
So wonder how I am doing on the CC front. Yes, continue using robot for floor and walls, every 2 or 3 days, plus brush walls every 3 days or so in addition. Spa too. Robot basket brings up mostly just fine brown dust (extra fine mesh basjet used).

Tested at leslies just to see results. They came with fc at 4.8 (which I say is bs since day earlier u added chlorine to raise from 6.0 to about 7.5 or so).

If you have nothing else to do , and take a peek, I greatly appreciate your input and help.

Worry not about 0.5ppm of CC.... that's acceptable. My pool almost always has 0.5 rather than 0ppm of CC.

It looks like you're burning off about 2ppm of FC daily at 40ppm of CYA. Some days you report your CYA as 45- there actually aren't halfway numbers in the CYA test, its a logarithmic scale. So if you "see" anything between 40 and 50, call it 50.

Why are you using pucks to raise your CYA? With new pool owners we encourage them to use single chemistry products so they learn each on its own. I would suggest you switch to granular CYA as it has nothing else in there. Use a sock to hold the prescribed amount (per PoolMath) and tie it on to a pole hanging over your pool over a return. Don't let it sit against the wall though...keep it 6" or so away. It will dissolve slowly, but you can speed it up by smooshing the sock now and then. White milky water will come out - no harm touching.

Trust YOUR test results.....stay out of Leslie's, they will *mess you up!*

I reported cya as 45 since I had it tested with a tester (did multiple tests with the insert that is one use only, so 8 tend to believe it's results.
My cya now is at just above 50.

Reason I was using trichlor pucks was that I had many of them left, and wanted to use them so chose to get them to raise cya over time. As said, it is now at just over 50.
Now I gotta decide is I should keep raising cya to 60, so less fc is burned up by sun, or if 50 is what I should stay at. I was thinking go to 60, but wanted to get mor input from those of you who know what ypu are talking about.

Yeah, I. Following the cya/FC chart in here.
I will track for next few tests, and if I lose more than 2ppm per day, I will increase cya by 5 or so. Not very experienced yet, but I am hesitant to go past 60 ppm cya, as I don't want too much cya in the pool.
Not sure what rhe typical level of cya is in Central Texas, saw a wise spread among some members, from 50 to 80.
Based on the charts, I am trying to stay below or at 60. Not sure if my thinking is right but better be safe imo.

I tested mine and cya was showing at 50. When had it tested, cya showed at 53. So both very close.
Anyone know if cya 60ppm is advisable in Central TX? My pool has a lot of sun, no tree cover for shade. Trying to figure best solution to minimize chlorine use as much as possible. Thanks.
