Pool temp sensor

Not overly excited about drilling into the pvc pipe, but I realize it’s necessary. Does the sensor go in the inlet or the outlet pipe coming from the filter?

Or does it go on one of the inlet outlet pipes coming from the heater?

Just for the water temp of the pool for my Pentair east touch panel

Assuming you have the new sensor, (you should confirm with your temperature sensor kit, it is a 3/8" for the new sensors). Just drill with medium speed and medium pressure.

Is this a replacement or new? Likely should be between the pump and filter...confirm placement with instructions for you kit.

If you are nervous about the drilling process, make some practice holes in a scrap piece of the same sort of pipe. That will let you get a feel for the process and confirm you got the correct fit. That's what I did before drilling to find my flow meter. If you have a sharp drill bit, pvc drills quite easily an nicely.
