First time pool owner, and my pool was already built when I bought my house. This is probably a dumb question, but when completing my profile on TFP I see 3 options for surface: Vinyl, Plater and Fiberglass. I think my pool is Gunite, but how do I know for sure what it is and what should I select in the TFP profile since the options are so limited?

If the pool structure is gunite, the surface the water touches is plaster.
Whether regular plaster or a surface like pebble tech, it's still a plaster base.

Gunite is typically covered with either plaster or a mix of plaster and pebbles. Either way, pick plaster.
