Pool Start Up Question

I was hoping that someone would be able to help me. We live in the Fort Myers area, and just put a pool in, and it was filled about 6 weeks ago. We noticed that after it was filled, it was a greenish blue, and everyone told us that it could take 3-4 weeks to turn blue. It still has not. Also, we ordered a light gray grout, and as soon as it got wet, it turned a charcoal gray, and it never lightened up when dried.. and to top that off, today we noticed rust in some of the grout, and even on some of the tile. It is also around the water feature (waterfall). This pool was filled 6 weeks ago, and I just wanted to talk to someone who might know about this kind of thing, as we are getting really frustrated.

Welcome - glad you found your way here!
Your water should be clear when properly sanitized and algae-free, can you post a photo?

We’ll need to know what equipment you have, how you are chlorinating, and who is taking care of the pool?

The cornerstone of the TFP method is self-testing. The chemicals needed are easily sourced from Amazon, Wal-mart, etc. No magic potions, just a few key things to keep water balanced and safe.

First step is a proper test-kit. Test Kits Compared
Next report back your results - while you wait for your test kit to arrive, read up on pool school!
