My pool is losing water at the skimmer. I previously repaired the leak using A+B epoxy putty immediately behind the face plate. That worked for a couple years.
Today, I decided to remove the front plate to understand the problem better. I expected to find a gasket behind the face plate, but there was none. Should there be a gasket behind the face plate? There appears to be a gasket behind the stainless steel.
Anyone recognize the model of this skimmer? The face plate appears to be cut off at the top. I've ordered a Hayward SPX1084B gasket that I think I can cut to fit.
I plan to install a gasket and repair again with A+B epoxy. Any other suggestions?
