I am wondering where to run the pool returns? What is ideal? Could the return pipes run under the bottom of the pool and then up the side walls or should the return pipes be ran outside of the pool and into the pool wall? If so, how far down from the top should they come out from the wall? Or can the pool returns be run under the bottom of the pool and then just straight up from the bottom? Any ideas or suggestions?

If you run pipes under the pool or in pool walls then any leaks or clogs will be impossible to find and repair.
Running pipes in trenches along the perimeter of the pool allows access to them if necessary. Then the shortest run in the wall of under the pool floor to where the pipe is located in the pool.
