Hi KD,

Is your skimmer clear of debris? Is the pump basket clear of debris? What is the water level in relation the the skimmer mouth? Do you see air in the pump basket? What RPM is your VSP pump running?

With no SWG, you appear to have a suction side air leak. Air is getting pulled into the plumbing system while running. Take a look at the link below for ideas of how to troubleshoot a suction side air leak. If you have any questions let us know.

I’m not sure why it’s blank, odd.
Under your settings section, there is an area for general profile info (city, type chlorination, etc), but then there is a separate field for "Signature". That's where you will enter all of that info. If you still have trouble finding it let us know.

All water is being pulled from main drains.
This is the only return doing this.
That's fine, but that link provided above still has several inspection points that apply at the equipment pad from the pump backwards into the ground where the drain line connects at the pad. Be sure to inspect all of those areas well as air can get pulled into the smaller spot.

The gunite crack, is that from our lovely black clay soil drying out and shifting, or something else?

I will check out the link, appreciate the help.
Some small amount of water on the spa side of the pool has kept the clay on that side damp and so it’s expanded for a year. The other side of the pool has been dry and therefore lower than the spa side.
So, IMO, that crack was small and became bigger and took the path of least resistance or there’s some kind of issue with the spa area. Pool builder believes it is something other than the pool.
