Pool pump won’t work on low speed

Have a 2 year old century 2 speed pool pump. It’s has stopped working on low speed mode. It runs on high and when the timer tells it to change to low speed it just stops. The controller flashes on aux 2 like it’s running. If I try to manually engage low speed it does the same thing. It runs high for 3 minutes to prime and then just shuts off. Maybe a bad capacitor? Any suggestions?

Welcome to TFP.

Have you opened up the back of the pump and checked the wiring?

What controller do you have to change pump speeds?

Please create your signature with details of your pool and equipment.

Do you have a multimeter? If so you can check if you have voltage on the low speed wires.

You could have a failed relay in your Aqualogic panel that is connected to the low speed wires.

You need to do voltage tracing between the Aqualogic panel relay and the pump.

Do it at your own risk.

Only do it if you are comfortable working with live AC circuits. Otherwise call in an electrician.
