Pool pump died and going out of town for weekend. Need advice.

Hi, my pool pump died yesterday and I am leaving for a 2 day vacation tomorrow and with the holiday weekend, that means it won't get replaced until 3-4 days later. What do you all suggest I do to keep the water healthy (without circulation)?

I have already poured one gallon of liquid chlorine yesterday and the chlorine level is really high right now. Will that buy me a few days? Do I need to add more chlorine before I head out of town for a few days?

Yes, raise the FC up to shock level for your CYA, [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA], and brush it to mix it.

I'd also suggest if you have a solar cover be sure to put it on as they may help protect the FC from the sun.
