Pool party and fc

Wow. I had a pool party on Saturday. I found ALOT of dirt and suspect a pool pisser lol. Anyways added shock the day of, and was surprised to find that today the chlorine read ZERO! it was the first time I had so many people in my pool and didn't realize how much chlorine would be lost! Totally surprised. But have learned a lesson.

So do you guys up your chlorine alot before having many people in your pool? Or just up it alot the same night when they leave? I had planned to do more after, but forgot.

Most up there FC before the party, have a half time during the party to test and dose, and then test and dose right after the party.

Typically take it to 15% or so of CYA each time.

As you say, lesson learned.

Normally I don't run my pump during the day, but I run it during parties so the SWG runs extra, if there's a lot of kids, I put it on boost (same as 100%) so it makes up for the uh... Additions to the pool.

But I have been running my pump almost 24/7 since my algae incident this year. It's been so sparkly, though.

So I was under the impression that I should wait about 2 hrs after adding chlorine to swim.. is this correct?

No. If your pump is on 15 minutes is sufficient for chlorine. Pour slowly into the stream of water from a return.

No test kit yet...on the to-do list.
Have a nature 2 part that I never touch and have no idea what to do with.

I'm assuming it may be different because I use the Tapatalk app for this forum. I don't have an option at the bottom.

You have to get on a regular computer / laptop one time to set it up and then it should show all the time.
