Hi! We have a 33ft round above ground pool. We bought it 3 years ago. First year stayed beautiful all season. We use the aquasmart. We covered but half way through winter the cover blew off. So the 2nd season we fought to clear/clean pool before we just stopped, shocked it and waited to fight it this year. It's our 3rd season...we are trying to just use chlorine for the pool...aka not using the aquasmart anymore as it is very expensive. We have shocked, and shocked some more....cleaned/vacuumed TONS of dead leaves and debris. We added alegecide and nothing. So shocked some more. It has progresses very well. I added the floc before I read not to
. Waiting for that to settle so I can vacuum again. This is what it looks like right now. (pic below). You can see where there is still some debris to be vacuumed up. We have a sand filter and we have not replaced the sand yet. Should we? I am waiting on the recommended pool testing kit to come in, should be here tomorrow. Any suggestions on how to move forward. I am so tired of fighting this lol.
