Hi, I have a 100.000 litre chlorine pool in the SW of France. It was installed in 2002 but looks great and has been well maintained over the last 20 years. I moved to the house in Aug 2020. Usually have no real problems - although the sand filter was last changed in 2012 so perhaps I'll need to change the sand this year? Pool usually open between June - Oct. Have moved to a manual system for filtration as previously I always ran it 24/7 and I don't think that is necessary as water balanced and no algae issues. I'd like to replace the mechanical timer with a SMART timer as it gives more flexibility in managing pump hours - running now between 8 - 12 hours day depending on pool temperature. I use chlorine blocks (4) per week and manage PH with PH + and - powder which seems to work fine. Trying to work out the conversion so I can add correct amounts on app - any help appreciated. I find using a net on the surface and emptying skimmer baskets daily, a manual vacuum once a week plus a robot (Racer) twice daily keeps pool clean.
