Pool overflowed from heavy rain and water got behind the liner

My wife and I were out of town this weekend and it rained 7 inches in one day while we were gone. By the time I had a neighbor come drain off the extra water it was too late, the water had already risen above the liner.

Now there are wrinkles and clearly there is some water behind the liner.

I’m wondering if the liner need to be pulled from the track and drop a pump hose down to pump it out or if it will drain out on it’s own once the ground isn’t saturated.

Any advice is welcome.

thanks!

Your pool has 264,000 pounds of water in it, I doubt you would get the liner more than a couple inches away from the wall :) that much weight will push the water out once the water around your pool subsides...
