Pool opening and Slam process.

We have a break through! “Blue”. I can see pattern in liner. dirt /dead algea sand whatever it is in 4ft deep. My auto vac hasn’t been working right so I’ve got a Manuel one. Today I’m going to try to carefully vac this out to waste trying not to cloud up the water. Every time I brushed it just looked like a cloud of dust. We are getting there.

Out of curiosity, can you fill the CYA tube with pool water only and look at the dot? How does that compare with the pic attached above in post 12?		This is pool water only. I have put another 3 lbs in . I guess with all the backwashing And the monsoon rains we’ve had gave me fresh water. I lose 5ppm during daylight

Wow that certainly is a BIG improvement. May I ask was it the "maintaining" part that was originally missing from your SLAM that got you here?

I thought it was only 3 or 4 days but not consecutively that I let the chlorine drop to let swimmers in. I don’t think I let it ever drop below 7. But not certain. It was 8 months of algae growth and maybe even Yellow algae because it looked yellow... I guess it was just the breaking point . Im beginning see the deep end slopes I’m going to give it another week and I should be clear!
