My six year old liner, has started leaking water. I regularly have the water quality tested at my Pool store, (every week), I am the only person who uses the pool. except for a visit from my sister’s grandkids 4 years ago. It is a large rectangular pool 40 feet long, I was a swimmer and only swim laps in the pool, so little wear and tear. The pool is in a greenhouse so little dirt and so vacuumed maybe three times a season. I replace the pool brushes regularly. Over the last summer I have had to call in a Leak detection company affiliated with my pool liner installer three times for leaks, each visit determines it is a small series of vinyl liner tears which are repaired. No leaks are detected in the pipes. Within a month the pool is leaking again, same story re: vinyl tears. The tears appear to be mainly on only one side of the pool - the long side of the pool, not the ends. A few tears have been found on the other long side of the pool but not the ends. Can anyone provide any clues as to what is going on? Does anyone know if pool liners have declined in quality over the last ten years? I had another pool with a liner that was ten years old and never had a problem with it. Would appreciate any and all assistance, knowledge or guess work. Thanks
