Pool liner concerns

Hello everyone, just hoping a could get some opinions from the more experienced of you.
I installed my abg in 2013 and had great success with getting the most out of owning a pool by finding a place like TFP.

So seven years of hard daily use during the swim season by my kids and friends finally was enough to cause a few leaks last year. That prompted me to shell out and replace my liner for this season. It's amazing how much the original had faded. While I remember struggling some with the original build I don't recall an issue or concern when it came to the liner.

During replacement I got the old one out and set the new one up. My sand underneath is soaked, making stretching the liner a pain. I spread it out and got the seam lined up at the cove and started working my way around. I thought I was in good shape but now see I may have been moving my liner more to one side when working out the wrinkles in the bottom. My seam is now up onto the cove on one side and about 1-2 inches away at the opposite side. I had begun filling to work out the wrinkles but have since stopped when i noticed the difference. I only have the very bottom covered.

Deep down I reluctantly think that I should drain it back out and center it up better. I know the liner will stretch, I'm just not confident I want to test how much it will stretch. Any seasoned vets care to chime in? I can live without perfection- I had a couple wall/floor wrinkles in my last liner.

You already know the answer. You need to re-set the liner. If you don't you may get wrinkles on one side of the pool and stress points on the other. Look on the bright side, you caught it early!
