Hi Everyone,
I am new to pool ownership within the last year but have benefited from members posts and guidance, so I’d like to ask a question of my own.
Our pool has 3 Pal 2000 lights and after two of the bulbs went bad we decided to order the Pal 2T LED bulbs as replacements.
The bulbs work well but I’m having trouble with one of the niches - water was found inside one of the bulbs but after replacing the seal the niche is water tight once again. That being said, there is a small item in the niche that corroded over time and finally fell apart the last time I put the bulb on, so voltage no longer powers the light. It looks like the part may be a safety mechanism of some kind - it looks similar to a capacitor or maybe a ground or fuse of some kind, but for the life of me I can’t find anything to show me what it is. It’s smaller than a dime and has two wires through the bottom of the niche into the component.
Am am I stuck replacing the whole niche or is there an easier way to fix it without having to re-pull wire?
Thanks again for all of your help!
