Pool light for old sylvan pool

I’ll have to check the diameter measurement but the depth looks like an easy fit. If we can’t find any bulbs we may have go the replace the entire light route but that is a last resort and we may just button up the non working light “as is” minus the bulbs and do without. We’re still looking around for some 250W halogen bulbs no larger than 5 ½” x 1 ¾” and there’s got to be someplace around that has general purpose bulbs his size. They don’t have to be “pool lights” or specialized.

The Pentair is 1/10th of an inch larger in diameter. I'll measure the niche to see if there is some 'extra' room. I also would prefer to just get by with the Paragon for another year but if parts are going to be $100+ it just makes more sense to get the new light which is much more efficient anyway. Also, I haven;t seen the Paragon in use yet but wonder if the lens cover blocks a lot of the light.

Either way, I'm waiting for a reply to see if the parts are available and will let you know.

Found 2 replacement bulbs :goodjob: , Bulbrite XP Standard Base E26, 250W, UV Stop, Clear at $9.00 each. Part number on box “Q250CL/EDT”. Installed the bulbs, got my mask and fins on and did a Lloyd Bridges operation to reinstall the assembly back in the niche and it just popped right back in good as new. Waited until dark and had my first night swim in decades. :goodjob:
