Pool/Hot tub novice- Need help heating spa

First time pool owner so forgive my ignorance. Cant seem to get the hot tub to warm up. Heater is kicking on and getting warm for sure. Ran for 90 mins last night and barely made a dent in spas temp. Do I need to adjust a valve?

yes, you do need to adjust some valves. think of it like this, you only want the pump to suck water from the spa, then after heating that water, you only want the heated water to return to the spa. you have several valves, let me try to look closer.

See your marked up picture below. Turn valve 1 and valve 2 180 degrees to pull water from spa and return water only to spa.
