Hello, I recently replaced all of my pool equipment. New pump, filter, heater, and added an SWG. One thing I didn't realize when I chose my new filter is that it doesn't have a waste/discharge line...my previous filter (Jacuzzi model unknown) had three 'ports'... the inlet (coming from the pump), the outlet (going back to pool via heater) and waste that discharged to a storm drain on my property.
My new filter (CircuPool Triple 400) only has two ports, an inlet, and an outlet....there is no waste port. My question is how then, can I remove water from the pool (say if it gets too full from heavy rain or whyever)? Do I need to create a "T" off of my plumbing with a valve that would divert the water to a waste line? If so, where would be the correct location for this (I'm assuming between the filter and heater or should it be before the filter even?) Or is there another way to do this and I'm just not aware?
I've attached a few pics so you could see how it's installed.

You would like a 3 way valve installed before the filter so you can also vac to waste if there is a bunch if crud, like at opening. You don't 'need' it, but it sure is nice.

You can buy a submersible pump to drain excess water but it's at garden hose oomph, and a far cry from the 2 inch fire hose. Again, you don't 'need' the valve but it sure is nice.

The vertical pipe between the 2 filters is a good spot to add it. Ideally it would be before both filters but the little guy is easy enough to open and clean if you vac'd to waste through it.

Perfect! Thank you very much :)
