Pool etching?

Hi,

I’ve been dealing with this pool now for a couple years. I had all the levels good last year at the end and closing. We had a lot of staining this year which I’ve been working through and posted about. I just drained the hot tub side and there’re a bunch of staining and etching it looks like. Calcium level seem to be OK when I use the Taylor kit test at 250. The pool store, said it was 143. I’m at a loss and hoping to not have to replaster it

How old is the plaster?

It still looks like metal staining.

Whatever caused the plaster wear is not reverseable.

I am not sure what answers you are looking for.

It’s 4 yr old . I didn’t think there’s much I could do with it. But if I have to replaster, I need to prevent this.

The plaster should not look like that after 4 years.

Have you owned the pool for the 4 years?

Did you do the AA treatment?

I did AA and Citric acid , metal binder . I’m guessing it’s just older than I think. I have for 3 yrs had some stain last yr but not bad
