Pool doesn’t have suction at the skimmers

I just had my pool sand changed to ruby sand. After the pool tech changed the sand my pool doesn’t seem to be pulling debris on the surface to the skimmer. I am also having to backwash every 3-4 days due to pressure rising. Any ideas on troubleshooting? Thank you

Sounds like you have algae to me.. Even if you can't see it yet. If backwashing cures the problem for a few days, what else can it be???

I suggest that you run an Overnight Chlorine Loss Test or OCLT... Overnight Chlorine Loss Test
