Our pool of 16 years is no more but fortunately, we are able to put in another one. It's another 15X30X52 AG

I want to make sure, I start correctly. I having been taking care of our former pool according to TFP for a few years so I think I know what to do but I would feel more confident if I get your thoughts.

New pool is currently fulling. They told us to fill during the day while the sun is out.

We are using all our old equipment. Even put back up the old fence.
1. We need to change the sand in the sand filter. We plan to do that tomorrow.
2. Once the water is filled, my brother will hook up the equipment.
3. Test water using TFT100 (new reagents-just delivered yesterday)
4. Adjust PH and TA if necessary (I don't think I would have to-our tap water is pretty good)
5. Add CYA to 40 (There should be 0 due to fresh fill). Should I aim for 30 instead?
6. Add liquid chlorine-need to pick some up tomorrow morning
7. Buy and add borax (and muriatic acid as needed)

What are your thoughts?

I have to read how to add borates again. I did it once a few years ago.

Looks like work!

I would not worry about TA at the first unless it is below 50. Test pH and adjust to be in the 7's.

Add 3 ppm FC worth of LC while adding the CYA. 40 is fine. Then follow the [FC/CYA][/FC/CYA] the second day.

You got it!

Take care.
