I noticed "shaved ice" in the pool last weekend. It's worse this weekend. Pool is clean and clear. But with goggles on, I see shaved ice floating all around. I listened to a podcast while driving and it sounds tied to the SWCG. If I let it dry, it just crumbles up into powder.

FC 5.5
TA 80
PH 8.0
CH 600
Temp 85-92

Edge40 @ 75% pump 24/7

Any Ideas?

Your CSI is well above 0. Keep the CSI between 0 and -0.3 and that will reduce the scale created in the SWCG.

Yoru CH is getting high. Do your best to reduce it when you get any rain.

I had a similar issue last year with warmer water temperatures. I ended up adding 50 ppm of boric acid to the pool and lowering TA, which ended the flakes. You may be able to drop your TA and pH a bit without the need for borates.

Thank you. I'll watch it and already making plans for soft water.

I need to understand CSI more. Gotta get my head wrapped around it.
